Residential Wiring & New Construction

Chris reviews the plans with you first and walks receptacle and switch placement room by room before anything is nailed in. That includes kitchen and scullery dedicated circuits, appliance and island feeds, laundry and HVAC circuits, and pre-wiring for security cameras while the walls are still open. Everything is built to code and staged to pass inspection without a second trip.
Lighting Design & Installation
Recessed can lighting in new construction and retrofit into finished ceilings, laid out straight and spaced to light the room instead of the walls. Pendants over islands, vanity fixtures, LED-backlit mirrors, under-cabinet lighting, and ceiling fans - including vaulted and high-ceiling installs that need the right box, bracing and access. He will talk through switching, dimming and how many circuits it should really be on before the drywall goes up.
Panel & Service Upgrades
If your panel is full, fed by an undersized service, or still running fuses or an obsolete breaker line, an upgrade is the fix. Chris handles panel changeouts, service upgrades and 320A meter base installs, coordinating with the utility and the inspector so the power comes back on the same day it goes off. Circuits get properly sized, grounded, bonded and labeled - so the next person who opens that door knows what is what.

EV Charger Installation
Tesla Wall Connector and other Level 2 EV charger installs for garages, carports and driveways. Chris checks whether your panel has the capacity and the spaces before anything is ordered, then runs a properly sized dedicated circuit and mounts the unit where the cable actually reaches your charge port. Outdoor and carport installs get weather-rated hardware - which matters inland and matters twice as much in salt air on the coast.
Whole-Home Surge Protection
Mississippi gets hard lightning, and modern houses are full of electronics that do not survive it: HVAC boards, well pumps, ranges, televisions, EV chargers and standby generator controls. Chris installs panel-mounted whole-home surge protection, Square D HEPD80 type, at the service to knock down surges before they reach your equipment. It is a small install on an existing panel and a natural add-on when you are already doing a service or panel upgrade.
Electrical Troubleshooting & Repair
A breaker that will not reset, half the kitchen dead, lights that dim when the AC starts, a GFCI that trips every rain, or an outlet that smells hot. Chris traces it back to the actual cause instead of swapping parts and hoping - loose neutrals, failed devices, damaged cable, overloaded or shared circuits, backstabbed connections. Repairs include outlets, GFCIs, switches, dimmers, fixture circuits and panel-side corrections, with an explanation of what failed and why.
Outdoor, Shop & Waterfront Electrical
Shop, garage and attic LED lighting, subpanels and outbuilding feeds, outdoor kitchen, patio and pergola lighting, hot tub disconnects and outdoor disconnects. On the water, Chris installs dock lighting and TEC II boat lift controllers and uses hardware chosen for wet, corrosive conditions.
